Career fairs are among the most important channels for recruiting workers worldwide. In Germany alone, up to 3,000 such fairs take place every year. However, these events are often shockingly analog: printed job walls, print catalogs and PDF order forms are standard and prevent the full potential from being exploited. This is exactly where our startup FairUp comes in.

The team originally started in recruitment, but after a year of attending trade fairs, recognized that there is a glaring lack of digitalization. International skilled workers in particular face major hurdles: material is almost exclusively available in German, which clearly puts them at a disadvantage.

The FairUp team is therefore developing a software solution that brings career fairs into the digital age. Trade fair operators can organize and market their events more efficiently, while exhibitors can not only plan and book precisely, but also use the entire candidate pool of the trade fair before, during and after the event. At the same time, the platform offers talents barrier-free access to information in different languages, the ability to book appointments, and personalized job recommendations through a digital recruiter.
